ABOUT ME

I am not new to the couchsurfing scene. I have had the privilege of enjoying many wonderful guests with Rockcityfire when we were living in Nova Scotia. We've since moved back to Alberta, living in a house nestled within the Rocky Mountains just a stones throw from Canmore.

We've been travelling extensively the past few years; through our Europe in a van we upscalled last year and prior to that all over the Pacific coastline of the USA continuing down to explore the Southern area into New Orleans and Forida.
Our passion for travel lead us to purchase a sailboat in Guatemala where we got her ready for our maiden voyage up through Belize into Mexico and Cuba. Our sailing vessel KARMA1 is presently docked in a tiny bay on the Island of Women ( isla mujeres). She is our second home now and we live aboard her during the winter months, hosting friends & weary travelers then drive back up back to our Mountain home.

Our summers are spent creating art, as we are actively involved with the Alberta and BC burner community. We also tend my family apple orchard in the Kootneys hosting our own Burn in September.

Our life is far from boring and we love to live it with passion meeting like minded individuals who share the same zest for life! We love the outdoors, love to cook, to garden, to have fun!

I believe we should love life, passionately, out loud, and in colour!

PHILOSOPHY

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's been a quiet time at the moment but hopefully spend more time with other CSers within the community at various gatherings!

People who just want get to know us, explore the mountains and ocean sailing I'm always interested in meeting new people. Lets connect, and have a coffee or drink.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, I've hosted several people. And what a wonderful experience each of them have been.

I've loved gifting my space to others and in return I have been gifted with great conversations, laughter and stories! Plus we get to show off the mountains or our sailboat on Isla!

My Musical tastes are eclectic, esoteric and somewhat arcane.
Music has always been a large part of who I am. I love Radiohead, Death Cab for Cutie,Nouvelle Vague, Buddah Bar, anything with sweet beats to get me dancing! I love the lyrical tunes of singers/songwriters.

Movies:I love Indie films, romantic comedy's list is so long...

Books: love to read! Too many to really list.

My first adventure was travelling to German and Europe alone when I was 14. My second was an amazing 3 weeks in Hawaii with my Dad when I was 18.In Kauai we hiked to the Secret Falls from the Wailua river. We also climbed up the side of a Volcano and toured three island with a Jeep. I've since taken my kids to Amsterdam, and through Germany by rail and peddled along the Dutch Coast.I've Traveled to China, Hawaii, Germany, Holland, England, many US States..

We love to meet people, listen to their stories and enjoy taking folks out and about to enjoy the gorgeous mountains as well as the Ocean when we are presently residing. I love travelling and look forward to the next inspirational and amazing adventure!

My dreams have come true; sailing, driving and exploring many parts of this magical world with my love..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just one? Life is filled with much wonder and I've been fortunate to be able to share this life with RCF and continue to do. I've sailed through storms, got caught in dust storms, hiked rugged hills, given birth to two beautiful humans .
Life is what you make it, live it and love it and share what you know to those who will listen :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to sew, though I am still at intermediate skill.
I am a new Nia Whitebelt Practitioner and wish to connect with others to improve and share my love for Nia!
I love to garden and work as a florist.
I also love touch and work as an esthetician from my home!
I enjoy Steampunk and Neo-Victorian, thus my lust for being a dress-up junkie!
We create art, building to burn and pottery!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Raku ceramic pottery firing and creating.
I have an orchard in BC, come visit, pick some apples in the fall and press them.
I am a burner and active in our local community in Alberta, BC and the big burn. Ive been to many burns 7 to be exact . We also host our own little burn yearly where we pick apples, burn art and do raku
