Hey there! I’m Doğa, an exchange student currently living in Groningen, Netherlands. I study Animation-Illustration and I’m a big nerd when it comes to talking about anything related to art and animation

Even though I’d call myself an introvert and a pretty good listener, living in a big student accommodation with people from all over the world for the past six months has definitely turned me into quite a yapper! 🗣️ I really enjoy deep or silly conversations on just about any topic, with all kinds of personalities.

I’m also a big music lover. I play guitar these days but used to play cello (thanks to my teenage symphonic metal obsession!). I’m into rock, indie, metal, synth-pop, and lately I’ve developed a huge love for French electronic music (which I think can lead to some crazy good recommendations)

I’m a massive thrift-shopping and flea-market enthusiast! I love collecting little treasures wherever I go, even if that means I might have some trouble fitting it all in my suitcase when I head home :)

And I absolutely LOVE cooking 👩‍🍳. Honestly, I’d say I’m a pretty great chef. I enjoy experimenting without recipes, going purely by vibes, and especially love baking; I’m genuinely confident I can impress with my cooking! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing because after living with people from so many different countries for over five months, I truly realized the value of sharing cultures and learning from one another ✨✨✨ . I want to carry that beautiful experience into my future travels and keep meeting amazing people everywhere I go.

As a guest, I'm respectful, tidy, and always happy to cook for my host, help out in any way, or share stories over good food or coffee. Looking forward to meeting you! 💗
