Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My partner and I are part of a farm community on 75 acres in southern Colorado.
ABOUT ME
My partner and I are 48 and 45 years old. We've spent many years fighting for social justice (U.S. imperialism, immigrant rights, homeless people, people of color discriminated). We live in a rural farming community focused on simple living, shared spirituality and social justice.
PHILOSOPHY
Truth, love, family and community.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We gush to all our friends and family about Couchsurfing and how it authentically connects people outside of commercial transactions. On trips we often stay with couchsurfers and we try very hard to host couchsurfers, even though we're in a rural area.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We subscribe to two other likeminded lists: globalfreeloaders.com and warmshowers.com We've used both and have had great experiences, often with hosts who have never hosted before.
Interests
Meeting people, bicycling, walking, hiking, camping, traveling, learning practical skills.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Since 2005 we have become farmers and hosted over 150 young people to learn about community living and simple farming. We've both spent time in Palestine (once as a teacher, again as activists). One of us went to Iraq, on a peace mission. We've taken numerous self-sufficient cross-country bicycle tours.
Teach, Learn, Share
We can give advice on the peace movement, grass-roots organizing, how to maintain a non-profit, how to farm and ranch, how to live simply.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We love to cook a meal and share stories. In this age of virtual digital technology human relationship is our great aspiration.
