ABOUT ME

I love a good adventure and I prefer the road less traveled. Up mountains, down rivers, through jungles and across deserts. I am passionate about where I live and I love sharing the secrets this island has to offer.

Even though I love the outdoors I am very much a city dweller. I like to wander streets and sit in cafes. I love listening to live music and dancing. I am pretty much up for anything especially riding bikes around town.

My life is a mix of work and travel. Lots of work over the last six months but now it's going to be all about traveling and meeting new people. I want to see as much as I can of your country.

I love good conversation over food and drink.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met a few people in Colombia with Couch Surfer and they took me out to the best places in town for falafels! I went to Oregon with a friend and we were given the best tours and lent bikes. It was amazing. I work out of town so I have only had a few opportunıtıes to host. I love learning from and hanging out with locals.

I am very open minded when it comes to my music tastes. Miles Davis, David Bowie The Beatles, Toots and the Maytlas, Arcade Fire, the Clash, Andrew Bird, Gomez, Beirut, Badly Drawn Boy, Bright Eyes, Modest Mouse, Looper, Burning Spear, Peter Tosh, Bon Iver, Tapes N' Tapes, Deerhunter, The National, Sunset Rubdown, Clap Your Hands And Say Yeh, Beach House, Ariel Pink, Crystal Castles,LCD Sound Systems.

I love foreign flicks. Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Darren Aranofsky, Lars von Trier, Tom Tykwer, Wong Kar Wai, Wes Anderson, Jim Jarmusch, Akira Kurosawa, Hayao Miyazaki, Yimou Zhang, and Terry Gilliam are some of my favorite directors.

I've been reading mostly non-fiction. I am trying to nurture my emotional side with more fiction. I hope that we can trade books. They take up half the space in my bag.

If had to pick favorites it would probably be Kurt Vonnegut, Tom Robbins, Graham Greene, Herman Hesse, and John Irving.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I watched Volcano Pacaya explode in Guatamala there was lava all over the place. I was in a 7.5 magnitude earthquake in Mexico and was stuck in a typhoon in Taipei. When I was young I trained and raced greyhounds with this wise old Irishman in Ireland . I've finished half my University degree. I've climbed to the closest point on earth to the sun(Mt. Chimborazo). I recently climbed the highest mountain on Vancouver Island.

In my former life I used to be a really good tennis player and I can coach tennis. If your game is a little rusty I can tighten a few screws. I know the island pretty well and have been to most trails. I am good to have around if you want to go on a big hike. I am reliable and hard working.
