ABOUT ME

I guess I should say that I'm bubbly and energetic here, but... I'm actually not that energetic.

I talk slowly and like to think things over. I can spend hours watching people passing by, guessing what make them happy or sad... lying under a pine-tree starring up into the canopy, trying to figure out why evolution made it to look exactly like that... talk afternoons, evenings and nights away on anything from formation of football teams to sustainable development in africa...

I always try to be genuine and true. And i think that i'm often successful in that.

PHILOSOPHY

I think I live by pragmatism, but my more knowledgeable friends says I'm into critical realism... but... since I don't understand what critical realism is all about... I still claim I'm into pragmatism.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Me like couchsurfing. I'm amazed how nice most (actually, this far all...) couchsurfers are. I try to host when it suits my schedule. You are always free to ask, if I don't feel that I have time or energy I will simply say no.

I do at least one lap around the world every year, as part of my work. And when I'm not working, I travel for the fun of it. Or maybe not for the fun of it.. its more like I'm damned curios. I always wonder what's behind the next creek. How many sorts of potato there really are in Peru, if the emperor penguin actually march that far, if Coke has made it to Burma, and whats the latest buzz in Mozambique. And how to better find out than hanging with local CS:ers or asking fellow travelers with similar concerns?

Hosted a bunch of people this far, surfed with a few. Nothing but great experiences...

Interessen

Oh I'm probably a bit too nerdy for my own good. But of course in a very charming way... (yea right...).

I'm very nerdy when it comes to sports. I like to do them all as often as i can: running, football, surfing, diving... basically everything that includes a ball and/or some endurance.

Hardly nothing can beat a really good book, and I go jolly as a kid on christmas eve whenever i stumble on to some really good music.

And yes, I'm truly nerdy about my job. I'm a professor at a university in Denmark. I've great, dedicated students and if you ask me about my research you have to hit me with something hard to make me stop talking... i work looong hours but enjoy almost every one of them!

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I firmly believe that everyone do prefer funk-music, they just don't know it yet. I also enyoj all kinds of music played by people who have haircuts similar to the mics they sing into and by people who whished they could have haircuts like that.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

Ask me about low cost flights in Europe. And small, dark lakes in the middle of Sweden... that's a personal favorit. Seriously! You can't beat them!
