Overview
About Me
I'm a curious, spirited, and intentional human. I enjoy chatting especially on people's travel experiences in search for the next destination . When traveling or even when at home, I enjoy hiking, cycling, just anything outdoors and fun!
I am Kenyan. I came to the US for grad school and chose to extend my stay for a bit. I’m happy to host if ever in Washington DC. If you’re planning a trip to Nairobi, lmk and I’ll request my sisters to make room for you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To travel and meet wonderful people along life’s journey. I read on someone’s profile that if you haven’t Couchsurfed, then you haven’t truly traveled and I couldn’t agree more.
I love the CS concept if well used because so far, I've met people with really kind hearts and I love being part of such a community.
Hosting is my small way of paying it forward. I’ve been so fortunate to have been hosted by such wonderful humans, and I hope to extend the same care and love with those passing through the area I live in…Kenya(Nairobi) or the US(Washington DC). If requesting to stay with me, please review my home section.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music. I love music so so much. I enjoy most genres, except hip hop, hard rock and metal. Thought to start a running list of the beautiful songs shared by all the beautiful souls I’ve crossed paths with in my short life. Sentimental much ? Anyhu here goes…
1. My contribution. If I could see the world, Pasty Cline.
2. Alessia (host in Zurich). Human kindness, Carrie Tree.
3. Tawfik (surfer from Yemen). To build a home, Patrik Watson.
4. Angela (traveled together in Maui). Follow the sun, Xavier Rudd.
Movies. Documentaries , inspirational, dramedy, or romcom movies. My favorite recommendations would be Life in Color by David Attenborough and Cunk on Earth.
Books. I love biographies, healthcare, and spiritual type books. Some of the most inspirational books I’ve read include:
The seat of the soul, Gary Zukav
Homegoing, Yaa Gyasi
This child will be great, Ellen Sirleaf
Finding me, Viola Davis
Cutting for stone, Abraham Verghese
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Forging extremely wonderful and supportive friendships. Their constant love is life’s most amazing gift to me.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I’m always happy to help with house chores - cleaning dishes, cooking, grocery shopping together etc. I also like to chip in financially on meals.
I sure love the company because most of the time I’m solo traveling, but I do enjoy solo time too so in case you need to be elsewhere, I’m happy to go sightseeing by myself. (in short, I don’t latch)
