Overview
About Me
I'm a language enthusiast and perpetually living abroad experiencing life as an expat. I'm half Korean and half American and currently living in South Korea as an English teacher. I majored in Russian and German language and I'm always looking for an opportunity to learn new languages. I've lived in America, the Netherlands, Russia and Korea briefly :)
I love literature, languages, classic music, poetry, travel, yoga, exercise and flowers. I'm an introvert at heart, but always love a great conversation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I frequently travel and I'm currently living abroad at the moment. Constantly moving has its challenges, and meeting new friends is one of them. I really want to meet new people and make good friends while still being able to travel. I also want to welcome any like-minded people to visit me in Korea!
Interests
I really love art, especially Marc Chagall, languages, literature, other cultures, opera, music. I like cultural events and going to museums and theater, symphonies. I really enjoy these types of things and I think they're always more fun with a friend. :)

Dostoyevsky, Nabokov, Hesse, Nietzsche, Pushkin, Yesenin, Gogol, Kafka, Camus, Orwell, Shakespeare, Hemingway
Music is more difficult, but mostly anything, I really love Chopin but also Rammstein. That should give you an idea of my flexibility here. :)
Устал я жить в родном краю
В тоске по гречневым просторам,
Покину хижину мою,
Уйду бродягою и вором.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While I was in Estonia, I met the sumo wrestler Baruto Kaito by complete accident.
When I was a little kid I won an art contest and my art was displayed on a billboard.
One time, when I was 23, I randomly moved to the Netherlands because I felt like learning Dutch, for no particular reason, and then just left when I started to hate it.
I know Alexander Pushkin's excerpt "Tatyana's Letter to Onegin" completely by heart and can still recite it in Russian.
I'm left-handed.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to partake in any type of language exchange, I'm fluent in English but I have some working knowledge of Russian and German as well.
I'm in the process of training to get a yoga teacher certification and I'd love to do yoga together with anyone who is down, or help you learn, if you're interested. :)
I'm a great cook!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm very thoughtful, considerate, I speak several languages, I'm a great cook and I love sharing the food I cook with others. My specialties are all types of Asian food: Korean, Indian, Indonesian and Thai especially!
