CURRENT MISSION

Myself, my husband (Bentley), and my dog are moving from the west coast back to the east coast. We didn’t do ANYTHING fun on the drive to the west coast, so I want to make this trip an adventure!

We’re mostly just passing through, although we’re not doing crazy days, so we should arrive sometime in the late afternoon or early evening. We love board games (not Monopoly, but you know, good games where you still want to be friends afterwards 😂) so if you need a couple more people for a game night, we’re down. Or, I can regale you with the wayward and miscellaneous adventures of my travels. Or whatever, we’re easygoing.

We have the best, sweetest, most well behaved dog on this trip with us. Willow is always a welcome guest at people’s homes and travels quite frequently with us. Sometimes people invite her over and we’re allowed to go too. She gets along well with....everything.

ABOUT ME

I grew up in northern Virginia and always wanted to be a dolphin trainer and travel the world. So I became a dolphin trainer, and after moving to Florida, moving all around Florida, and then to Mexico for over a year I realized that I was using my job to travel and should really only do one at a time.

Lol, I wrote the above paragraph over a decade ago when I joined Couchsurfing to backpack around Europe, which I did. I was “Vouched For” in Couchsurfing’s original system, which they seem to have done away with 😕

Bentley and I met at Blizzcon, we’re total nerds and quite proud of it. We run an event called Epic Nerd Camp, which is a summer camp program for grownup geeks. You can check it out at Epicnerdcamp.com.

Never take traveller's checks or wads of cash. Just pull money from the ATM as you go. The exchange rates are better and you have less to lose at any one time.
