About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To remain ungraduated at the Fabolous School of Life. To never believe to "have seen it all", to appreciate the little things as well as the big and to continue being actively curious about the beauty this world has to offer.

ABOUT ME

I'm a good-looking, 5ft 11" tall Leo full of energy..
Just kidding! =)

I see myself as a open-minded person who loves to travel, meet people & to joke around.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't curse the darkness. Light a candle.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

After a long trip to South America in 2015 I am currently saving again and am thus - at least for now - stuck in Berlin where winters are cold and grey and summers always more than ok. But well, one can't have it all, right? ;)
My flat is too tiny to host regularily and my time is limited due to work and other obligations but if possible I will support fellow travelers with tips and advices, or simply a good time while hanging around a little. Cooking, drinks, language meet-ups, street art and lots of other fun things are always welcome!

Also I am a big fan of the CS-Community meet-ups here in Berlin, so if you want to be accompanied there I'd gladly oblige!

1st COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A really kind and funny traveler gave me a visit once on his way hitchhiking from Muenster to Delhi. Even though he stayed only one night we clicked straight away, talked heaps and became good mates. Early morning on the next day I drove him to town, he went to a hardware store, bought a cheap rubber dinghy and a paddle and went on to cross over 60km to the next city via the river Main. I kid you not,..:) Well, that was my first time hosting.

And Ricky, the coolest US Marine in existence, who was still living in Rota, Spain during that time, was my first host and the experience at his place was amazing, too.
Ricky, if you're reading this: I still plan on visiting you in Japan. Be aware =)

Interests

I love music, I love people & I'm into urban arts, photography and crafts, cultures, the ocean and water sports, hot climates and warm personalities. Plus everything else that holds beauty in it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've done many things other people would consider amazing, though when you ask me, the single most beautiful thing I've seen or been part of in my life has definitely been the birth of my beautiful niece - 6th of April 2007 - I absolutely adore her!!!!

Teach, Learn, Share

Generally speaking, I am not a real expert in anything in particular. Where as I would say that I do know a little about most things. What makes me a "Jack of all Trades - Master of none"-type of person, I guess.. :)
I enjoy teaching as much as I do learning. And I love to learn new things. Plus sharing something useful with somebody makes the sun in Berlin come out more regularily :)))

My english and german are fluent, so is my Spanish (whilst a little ruff on the edges). I've set myself a goal to speak at least 6 languages with 35 - That's 3 more in the next 5 years.

Anyhow, hit me up if you're interested in exchanging languages! Or for anything else, for that matter. Cooking recipes, great songs, artsy pictures, your favorite book/movie/comic, a topic you enjoy talking about, a skill you think of is useful. Anything.
