About Me

I am kinda playful and I always cause raising eyebrows when I say I want to climb some trees. I can tell people a great deal about food and even make magic out of ordinary pasta. Most people are jealous because I don't quite take weight when eating a lot of food but the truth is, I am kinda moving a lot. I very much enjoy fun sports like Paintball, Lasertag, climbing, Tennis or Soccer with friends and so on. Nothing too repeatedly, but quite always doing something.
I care a lot for others and I rarely say no, which is a weakness I guess. There's a genuine nerd inside me which you can see by my curiosity for TV shows, movies and gadgets. Music is a thing, too (I mostly love Jazz, Soul, Funk, Electropop and, well, everything that you can sing along in your mind (I totally cannot sing but I can give you a variety of dancing lessons. Well, if you're a girl, that is!).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I quite recently (2 June) came back from my trip to San Francicso, where I stayed in an AirBnb flat with my best friend for over a week. The host was living there as well plus a few Silicon Valley employees and while I didn't quite realize it at the start, I really liked their presence. It was then when I wanted to have similar living experiences like that.
I once kinda hosted a couchsurfer when one of my former roommates had one for visit for whom she had no time to entertain or to be of company. I had a more flexible job condition at the time so I showed him around and showed off my perky cooking skills (neat!) and both my roommate and he liked that a lot.
I am super new to all of this and I am curious how it works. Being quite open to everything is a plus I'm sure. ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Totally into soundtracks, Alternative, Electropop, Jazz and so much more.
Movies: American History X, Baby Driver, Nolan's Batman, Logan, Sin City, V for Vendetta, Kung Fury, Tucker and Dale vs Evil, Zombieland, The King's Speech, Harry Potter, Inception, Doctor Parnassus, Jumanji, Matrix, Star Wars, Shutter Island, The Social Network and most of all: Watchmen.
Books:To my shame, I don't read any books anymore these days. But I loved The Little Prince, What does it all mean, The Physicists

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Giving up control by climbing the cliffs of Northwest San Francisco. Was quite the climb of my life (or death!).

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I know a lot about linguistics (mostly in German and English), how to paint and where to save a lot of money on flight tickets (it's actually not just Skyscanner and go! ;D). I also know how to design digital media and I dig Interface Design, if that's your thing.
Learn: I'd like to learn how to live in the bare nature because next year, I want to go to Peru and hike my ass off. ;)
Share: Most of the time I really enjoy sharing food, space and time with others.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have good skills in the technical/geekly area (I can probably fix your PC), I am certain of having one of the worlds best TV show appetites (I got references!), I can cook you the pasta of your lifetime and I'm quite into philosophical topics if you are, too. If you can't find someone to take risks on climbing or in the jungle, I'm in! I may not survive a fight with a tiger but no way he can climb as high as me! Or at least I hope so.
Also, if you need help with anything (home or job... writing resumés is kind of my mojo), the least I can do is assist a bit to show my gratitude. ;)
