Dominic from New Zealand, in 2022 I moved to Europe ant spent 4 months hitchhiking, sleeping outside and meeting amazing people along the way. This winter I have been studying in Switzerland and looking forward to more travels this year!

Hitch hiking was an amazing way to travel because I meet and had conversations with many amazing people who have been selfless enough to go out of their way to give me a ride.
It was also a great way to practice my French and German speaking skills!

Now Im finally living in a house so have the opportunity to host, I live about 15 minutes from Luzern by train. I am usually very busy with my studies but please feel free to request to stay and I’ll let you know if its possible :)

Interests

Although I am not travelling with my bike, I love mountain biking and am a big fan of any sort of action sport. I have always wanted to get in to air sports too and am half way through my pg2 paragliding licence and have recently got my full Skydiving USPA A- license so have been doing jumps as Ive been travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love listening to any type of music. Most of the time I enjoy fast paced music but I also enjoy chilled music or even some local music from the country I’m in!

Recently as I have been learning French I have been enjoying French Rap and artists such as: Odezenne -Caprice and Venlo - Apnée

Books: David Goggins, Atomic Habits, The Awe of God etc..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on an amazing roadtrip through BC in Canada with a van, finding beautiful camping spots in the mountains up abandoned logging roads and even a few close encounters with Bears
