About Me
Oh hi there! I'm Dom. I'm a friendly, happy and pleasant British chap. I love to have fun but am not really a party animal. I'm 5'7" and 2/3, but like to round up. I endeavour to use the good manners with which my parents raised me, and which the Queen would expect of one of her loyal subjects as an ambassador overseas. Feel free to check me out: facebook.com/dom.leckie
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm not always great at having the confidence to meet people at more than a superficial level, so I think CS is a great way to get to know someone in their natural habitat. I want to be shown things that are not in the guidebook.
I would also like these people to see my neck of the woods that has plenty to offer.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm not an expert on music, I just know I love listening to it, so I do it a lot. I mostly listen to electronic music but genuinely like to be introduced to new artists in any genre.
I love films and can talk about them all day. I try to watch as many critically-acclaimed films as possible and try to appreciate the filmmaking.
I like film, and I like music, and I particularly like film music. I have made a Spotify playlist of my favourites which makes for a great game of 'Guess the Film'.
I definitely don't read enough but have tried to read some classics the last few years, including The Great Gatsby, To Kill a Mockingbird, Animal Farm, Of Mice and Men, The Hobbit and The Catcher in the Rye.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hitchhiked 63 times in 6 weeks in New Zealand. Great way to meet different types of people and made me happy to know there are so many helpful and kind people in the world. The country wasn't bad either.
Teach, Learn, Share
At the tender age of 25, I think it would be arrogant not to say I am still doing much more learning than teaching. Who knows, maybe we'll have a chat and I'll accidentally teach you something...
My job is to lead outdoor and team-building activities for children so if you are 11 years old, I can teach you!
I love to learn. Please teach me. I'd like to get better at photography and raise my base level of musical talent from absolute zero.
Sharing is caring.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I like to be helpful if you let me. I like to make things clean and tidy, but don't mind if you're not. I can cook for you/with you. I'm good with kids. I'm fairly practical and like to fix things, or at least try to, especially bikes.
I can offer you a good coffee, or even better, a cup of proper English tea :)
