I spent most of the last decade in New York City, teaching parkour, going to school, and working as a freelance writer and editor. I moved to Myanmar in the beginning of 2016 in order to experience a different part of the world, and I now teach English at Nelson English Language Center in Tachileik.

I really enjoy writing, playing music (particularly the guitar), and training parkour and gymnastics. I also love camping and pretty much any outdoor activity. I've lived in both Chile and Italy for a little under a year, and I was once quite good at both Spanish and Italian. Unfortunately, it's been quite a while and I'm extremely rusty, although I love having the opportunity to practice!

Traveling has always been one of my favorite things, and many of my best experiences abroad have come from staying with people who actually live in the city or town I'm visiting. At the same time, I want to make it easier for people to come and visit the town in which I live.

Intereses

Música, películas y libros

I really enjoy playing flamenco, and I like classical and jazz a lot, but I've always had a soft spot for indie rock. My favorite author is Roberto Bolaño, and my favorite movie is Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.

Algo increíble que he hecho

I hitchhiked from Santiago, Chile to Mendoza, Argentina with two friends. We met some incredibly interesting people, rode in a tractor and in the back of a pomegranate truck, and spent the coldest night of our lives camped out in the Andes with no gear because the pass between the two countries was closed due to a blizzard.

I love teaching parkour and music. I also love to learn and share new types of movements (anything from dance to martial arts) and musical styles.

Aside from pitching in with cleaning and sharing conversation, I'm a pretty good cook and I'm always happy to share my culinary talents with my host.
