Overview
About Me
I'm from the midwest in the United States. After school I moved down to New Orleans for work and have been here since 2009. I've traveled the U.S. extensively and still do most of my traveling here. I try to get outside the states once a year or more if possible. I love all things outside including hiking, camping, rock climbing, mountain biking, snowboarding, bike touring, motorcycle riding, and pretty much any sport. When in the city I enjoy architecture, nightlife, live music, museums, etc.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm currently finishing a renovation on my kitchen, which is functional, so I have no roommates at the moment. I have a furnished bedroom people can use. I work a standard daytime schedule so would be hosting for people having a low key experience in New Orleans, not late nights. I know the city draws that type of crowd but that's not for me anymore. This city gets a lot of visitors so also looking for people that also host back home. Need to have references.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love a lot of different music and am lucky to live in such a great city for it. Depending on mood I enjoy funk/soul, bluegrass, reggae, and for lack of a better term, indie rock. Some of my favorite authors are Oscar Wilde, Hunter Thompson, Dostoevsky, George Orwell, and Edgar Poe. I like a lot of the Coen brothers movies, film noir, John Hughes movies, spaghetti westerns, and a variety of comedies from Best in Show to the Holy Grail.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm clean and considerate. I can gladly offer a place to stay or a friend to hang out with in New Orleans if my host makes it to the states.
