ABOUT ME

After working in finance throughout my 20s staring at a spreadsheet day-in-day-out I decided to change my scenery so after travelling for a year became a scuba diving instructor. After brief stints in Kota Kinabalu and Bali I am now in Okinawa, Japan on a year long working holiday visa.

From 2011-12 I travelled the world for a year. I had the best year ever meeting so many wonderful people, and couchsurfing was great when I arrived in a new city.

PHILOSOPHY

Have fun and be happy, but in achieving that don't harm or upset others :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I met up with quite a few couchsurfers on my world travels and stayed with the best host ever in Tokyo, but I'm yet to host anyone myself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Met up with several people in South America and Asia including getting involved in CS Group activities.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

TV/Film: Comedy such as American Dad, Family Guy, Eastbound and Down, Alan Partridge, anything with Will Ferrell or Danny McBride. Megamind.

Music: Too much to list! But Lil Wayne, Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Greenday, Paul Simon, Crash Test Dummies, Jack Johnson, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Dr.Dre, Pitbull, Weezer, Biggy, Pac...hip-hop, dance, rock etc...not really RNB though...too slow. I used to be a bit snobby about music but now I just like anything that makes my brain dance.

Books: Prefer true-stories (or based on true stories) to fiction e.g. Papillon, Mr.Nice, Shantaram (OK, not really true), Marching Powder, Mr.Asia. Also liked the Stieg Larsson and Dan Brown books I read a while ago.
