About Me

Current update: On a cross country trip right now, driving the west half, taking the Amtrak the east half. Coming up next will be Philly, DC, Charleston, Savanah, Atlanta, Chicago. Wont be in any city for more than two days, I gotta get back to my car in Denver.

I've spent most of my life in Oregon, in the Pacific Northwest. I was born in Alaska, and moved here when I was a 12 years old. In my youth my mother was a total gypsy in the sense that she liked to just uproot my siblings and I and take us on some insane worldly adventure. When I was 7 she moved us all to Mazatlan, Mexico. It was soon after my father passed away from a sudden heart attack, and she clearly thought we needed a drastic change. She remarried a few years later, and went on their honeymoon to Venice. They were so in love that they flew back and got my brother and me, and took us back. They had found a little furnished apartment right by San Marco, and we stayed there for 9 months. We then hopped around for another couple months. I absolutely fell in love with Spain. Barcelona blew my mind, even at such a young age. We relocated to Oregon not long after moving back to Alaska from Europe.

I went to middle and high school in Eugene, and after graduating I went and spent some time in Hawaii, my oldest brother had been living on Oahu for a while and he convinced me to come out and check it out. I only ended up staying for about 7 months, but I really enjoyed it. It was also nice to spend a winter in such a beautiful tropical climate. After working a couple restaurant jobs back in Eugene, my mother bought a small bakery in the small town of Cottage Grove, just south of Eugene. For the first time in 15 years, my entire immediate family was all living under the same room AND we were working together. It was hectic at first, but we figured it out in time. We did the bakery for about 7 years and closed it down by choice, because we were tired of working to the bone and never getting any time to travel or relax. And that's where you'll find me now. Traveling and relaxing.
