Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Exploring the north of Scotland, one hospital placement at a time
ABOUT ME
If you had to ask me, I'd say I'm a third Kiwi, a third Sri Lankan and a third British. It's confusing as hell (for you and for me), but it's also pretty sweet. One of the best things I've got from my Sri Lankan culture is a spirit of generosity and a fierce determination to network. By extension of the first, and possibly the second, I am opening my doors to new experiences and to you. Come around and add to the mishmash of experiences that is my life. I'll try bring something to yours too.
PHILOSOPHY
Boom and bust: do loads of really fun stuff, put loads of energy in, work really hard towards a deadline, and then chill the hell out and recuperate.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm new to Couchsurfing as of November 2013. Since I'm back in Christchurch, I'm staying in my family home and am petrified by the sheer size of it. I can hear the echoes of my keyboard strokes as I type.... well, not really.
But this town is big enough for the both of us. So come along!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None so far, but watch this space.
Interests
All kinds of music and all of its applications: making, listening, dancing. Also enjoy sports, drinking, combining sports and drinking, research, volunteering, cooking (Sri Lankan! mmmm), making new friends, procrastinating.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Love it. Love hearing what music other people like, even if it's not to my taste. I love having my tolerances tested and my boundaries pushed. Current music I wake up to: Mount Kimbie, Philter, James Blake, Flume.
Movies and Books: enjoy them, but don't seek them out sadly. I enjoy doing things a bit more than sitting in one place. I have an ADHD mind.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Gone from a 90kg, mildly happy guy to a 70kg determined and very content triathlete in the space of 6 months.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: piano/guitar/singing/music appreciation; Sri Lankan cooking; triathlon training techniques; the sign language alphabet; debunking medical myths;
Learn: absolutely anything!
Share: my house, my food, music tastes, views on anything from politics to how to organise a cupboard.
