ABOUT ME

I'm Dominik, a 27 year old Swiss.

I finished my university studies (politics, sociology, communication) last year and thought: Now it's time for new countries, cultures and experiences! With this idea in mind, I planned a 6-12 month adventure through both Americas. Having completed my civil service at a climate protection organization now, the journey finally began on August 2nd 2010 with an east-west crossing of Canada, starting in Montréal.

Besides travelling, visiting friends and meeting a lot of great people through couchsurfing, I'll work on organic farms from time to time (www.wwoof.org). Above all, my goal is to get to know the life and culture of the countries I'll be visiting! I’m absolutely looking forward to invest my efforts and spirit in order to give back my appreciation...

meeting friends, playing my lefthand guitar, walking through cities and discovering hidden places, watching movies, writing (www.students.ch/magazin/details/42343), enjoying a good glass of wine or a cup of coffee, concerts, discussions, laughing about the tiny pecularities and ironies of life, learning new things, composing music and pictures, having a good beer from a local microbrewery (or two), making plans and improvising when life just doesn't want to follow those plans
