About Me
Hello everyone!
My name is Dominika and I'm 23 years old. I'm currently living in San Rafael, California. I'm a world wanderer seeking for new friends and experiences from all around the world! Born in the Czech republic, studied English at the University and still working on my language abilities by self-educating in French and Spanish. I'm funny, talkative and passionate about learning new things. I'm optimistic, reliable and responsible person. I'm not only seeking for a place to stay but I'd love to get to know people who live in the area I'm visiting to chat about the culture, traditions and sharing tips and recommendations about the interesting places to see.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people and discover new places and cultures from all around the world. Is there a better way to do that than to couchsurf? I DON'T THINK SO! What I know about traveling is that the experience is never as good without the guidance of the local people. What do I offer in reverse? If you're looking for someone interested in getting to know your area, lifestyle, culture and is funny, positive and passionate OR on the contrary for someone neat and responsible who will just come and leave your place without you even noticing it, please give me change to prove I'm the right person you let in your place!
Music, Movies, and Books
I always say I'm listening, watching and reading everything that is interesting and can bring anything new into my life such as a new experience, knowledge or just to help me to relax and enjoy the time I have only for myself. I love listening to music from the place I'm visiting as well as reading about the areas. In general, I like adventurous books and movies. I'm interested in fantasy and sci-fi, dramas and documentaries. I enjoy going to theatres (comedies, dramas, ballet etc.) and movies. I listen to every type of music that doesn't annoy me!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It might seem weird for someone but what I consider to be one of my best decisions in life was to leave the University and move to the USA when I work as a nanny. I was studying History which didn't quite make me happy and I found myself struggling with life and being tired of my everyday stereotype. Two years living in USA gave me more than 15 years of constant learning behind the desk and the experience it gave me is remarkable.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my experience from visiting many places in Europe and America, my opinions and tips for anyone interesting in traveling. I can discuss several topics and help you to get to know mid-European culture and lifestyle.
