About Me

Hi everyone. I'm a 26 year-old girl from Czech Republic who loves to travel and to meet new people and see new places.
I got my Master's degree in French translating in 2018, now I'm studying screenwriting on a film school in Prague.
My biggest hobbies (besides travelling) are movies, books, theater, sports - longboarding, biking, roller blades, basketball, etc.

I'm not hosting myself, YET. Although once I get my own place with no restrictions (!!!), I'd love to be a host. I'm currently in Prague (living with my landlady) so if you're traveling to Prague and need some tips, let me know!

I've tried several jobs in the past - I babysitted in France, I worked in a summer camp in USA 5 Summers, and during one semester in Czech Republic I also worked for Verizon.
I did a 5 month internship in Luxembourg - translating in the European Commission in 2018/19.

I love adventure and I'm ready to see the world.

I think couchsurfing is a great opportunity to meet new people and hear their stories. Most of my CS experience are good but there are some that weren't that great... However, for me it's a great way to not to be completely alone when travelling alone, which I do quite often (because well, I'm not the kind of person who will decide not to go if there is no one to go with ;))

Anyway, if you ever host me and we get along, I would love to see you in Europe or anywhere else where we'll cross paths! ^^

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it's a great way to meet interesting and welcoming people on your adventure and to be able to see that particular place with a help of locals who have always the best travel tips.
Although, if you're the type who mistakes couch surfing with a dating app, please, don't even contact me. Just nope. Not doing that.
I'm looking for friendships and connection cross the world and for people and stories that can change or enrich my perspective of the world and couch surfing has so far been doing that and that's why it's so amazing.

Music, Movies, and Books

movies - Stand by me, Lords of Dogtown, Perks of being a wallflower, Donnie Darko, Crash, American Beauty, One flew over Cucoo's nest, Moulin Rouge, Trainspotting, Requiem for a dream, La La Land, Pulp Fiction, Magnolia. And more and more.

books - thrillers in general, Little Prince (my fav of all time), Unbearable lightness of being, Lolita, Atonement, To kill a Mockingbird, The Perks of being a wallflower.
tv series - used to be GoT, then Breaking Bad, Stranger Things, Orange is the new black, Sex Education, You, sitoms like the classics: Friends, HIMYM, New Girl or the less conventional ones like Tuca and Bertie (I'm a feminist, yes), It's always sunny in Philadelphia. I used to like Walking dead a lot till it went to hell.

music - from the current music I love P!nk, she's my absolute hero. Then there are few artists whose songs I like but I'm not their die hard fan, like Adele, Ed Sheeran, Jessie J, Eminem, Oasis, Red Hot Chilli Peppers...
I love "oldies", mostly 60s-90s. Beatles, movie soundracks including musicals.
Oh and yeah, my new favorite is Billie Eilish. That girl rocks.

When I'm writing, I almost always listen to classical music, mostly Chopin, Mozart, Vivaldi, Bach, Strauss, Schubert lately... they are all great.
From the nowaday composers I love Max Richter (obviously), Ludovico Einaudi, Olafur Arnalds, Jóhann Jóhannsson, Hans Zimmer, Zack Hempsey, Clint Mansell (Requiem for a dream, come on!).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Saved a lost dog on the street in April 2017, when I was coming back to my dorms from work ... one amazing story that ended with a happy ending! The dog was an older puppy pregnant with 8 other puppies. So in all, I saved 9 dogs. They all found a home.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to learn Spanish and Russian one day. I speak French and English (and Czech of course).
I've been an eternal beginner in Spanish, I always take classes somewhere and then I have a "pause" and forget most of it. I'm the worst.
