Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travelling after doing a semester abroad in Temuco/Chile.
Viajando después de un semestre en el extranjero en Temuco/Chile en la Universidad Mayor.
ABOUT ME
I make awesome banana bread.
I am open-minded, always in for a beer, I love cooking and try to prevent any pre-cooked food, I like football, Brazil is the best country I've been to yet!
Well, I am 1.89 m tall (that's almost 6'3"), weigh about 80 kg, have rather dark hair, brown eyes and I tend to smile or grin without any apparent reason. Despite being German I have a rather Latin-American soul.
PHILOSOPHY
Personal Philosophy?
I'm quite a peaceful character and I don't understand why a lot of people aren't.
Life's too short to be grumpy.
Hm, Travel philosophy:
I like to meet the country, to live the country, see how its people live.
Green Philosophy!
Save the planet!
One of the most beautiful things I have seen yet is the "vastness" of the Mediterranean Sea from the rock of Gibraltar. Quite impressive and yet probably nothing compared to other things that are still to be seen.
And yet the best decisions that our governments currently come up with do scarcely anything for nature.
This is just sad.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Since I am currently on the road myself, I cannot offer a place to sleep (yet).
I am however looking forward to be able to host people in the not-too-far future.
Furthermore, as mentioned before, I cook quite a lot and would love to provide possible hosts with one or the other meal in exchange for the couch (at my own expenses of course).
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have never done couchsurfing before, even though I have already stayed at somebody else's place without knowing them before.
Worked quite well for me :)
Interests
Languages of course: besides English and German I speak Spanish and Portuguese and currently I am trying to pick up some Italian.
Therefore my dream job for later on: translator or interpreter (which actually is what my study course is aiming at).
Moreover, I like football, food (I like to stand in the kitchen for hours and prepare as much as possible myself, no pre-cooked stuff; sometimes vegeterian), literature and travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books
I fell in love with Lord of the rings and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy quite early and still tend to read them once in a while (in English or German).
Movies I liked the most are 300, The Big Lebowski and Black Dynamite.
Apart from that I don't have much predilections, but I just hate any sort of horror or splatter movies.
I just don't see the need to watch these.
TV: Being in England for the first time in my life, I have just discovered Dr Who! Love it!
Besides, I don't watch a lot.
Game of Thrones and Narcos.
Music: nothing uncomformist, even though I really love Queen. And Coldplay. Is that odd? Oh, and (German stereotype) Rammstein.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I cycled from London to Cologne after quitting my job and it was absolutely fantastic!
