About Me

I am open-minded, easy to talk to and always looking for new experiences that challenge me in some way. I am pretty independent and comfortable with doing things on my own. However, I also like to have others show me what they like about a certain country/place. Generally, I am quite sociable and usually get along with everybody.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Besides the financial aspect I always like to meet locals while traveling. Staying in hostels and following the usual touristy paths never gave me the feeling of getting to know a country. I always appreciate locals who are willing to share aspects about their home country/culture. In my opinion Couchsurfing is one of the best possibilities to get in touch with and learn from each other.

Interests

On travels, I especially like to explore a country's nature but I am also interested in cities. Generally, I like to hike since it is relaxing and you really get a grasp of your environment.

Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire), Fight Club, Se7ven, The Usual Suspects and many more...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volcano Boarding (Sliding down a volcano on a board).

Teach, Learn, Share

I already volunteered a lot both in my home country and in other countries. Here, I always appreciated the contact to locals and the creation of a genuine exchange in a win-win situation.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to talk about cultural aspects. By giving insights about my own culture or other cultures I know, I think hosts can reflect about their own cultural perceptions. Also, I am happy to take part in a household by cooking, cleaning etc.
