ABOUT ME

Hi everybody! My name is Dominik and I am a student of mechanical engineering from Czech Republic. I live in Ostrava, a city that everybody calls the black city or the iron heart, but it's the city that I love because I was born there and my family and friends live there. Now I am studying and living in Belfort, in France. Here I met a lot of people from all over the world, from all continents and I very enjoy listening to amazing stories and advantures of the people. So now it's the right time to make some own experience.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I found couchsurfing thanks to my very close friend Hanka. We spent together my first great adventure in my life. It was in Great Britain and it was also the first time I was housed by somebody who I hadn't known before. I'm really happy that my first experience with couchsurfing was positive and I'm looking forward to meeting other couchsurfers. :-)

Interests

My hobbies are reading, drawing, traveling (of course), french language and culture, jogging and any activity with my friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like things that are complicated. Things that you have to think about. One of my most favourite book is 1984 written by George Orwell. I also enjoy, fx. King's novels or some czech writers, such as Karel Čapek or Jaroslav Seifert. I love movies based on true stories, historical dramas or films about today's social or moral problems. I was fascinated fx. by Pleasentville, Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain or Trainspotting. If you want to see some czech movies, I can recommend you Burning Bush, Pelisky or Fany. These are my favourite.
