Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to meet new interesting people. And I believe that staying with locals gives me a much better insight into the culture of the country I'm visiting.
Of course I also do appreciate couchsurfing as a cheaper alternative to hostels and hotels.
At the moment I am not at home but in the future (as soon as I'm back) I want to host as well.

Interests

I used to play Basketball in Germany for a couple of years (3rd lowest league). Today I try to follow the NBA as good as possible.
In the last couple of years traveling became one of my biggest passions. Meanwhile I've been in a lot of different places but there is still so much to see. I guess I'm addicted :)
For me Photography goes hand in hand with traveling. Meanwhile I have learned a lot about using a camera proper. I hope this is something that you can see in my photos.

Music, Movies, and Books

I hear a lot of different music. I like Rock (e. g. Foo Fighters) but also Jazz and classical music. There are a lot of good movies out there. The first one that comes to my mind right now (and I don't know why) is "10000 BC".
To be honest, I don't read so much books. But I have a favourite author from Berlin who writes very exciting psycho thrillers.
