Présentation
À propos de moi
Hi couchsurfers!
Thanks for reading our profile!
We’re an Australian couple, early 30s. We’ve been living in the UK since summer 2017. We’re usually travellers in the summer and workers in the winter. We’re hospital contract workers, 9-5ers. Dom is an Occupational Therapist, specialising in stroke/brain injury rehab, upper limb therapy. Drew is a Radiographer, specialising in Nuclear Medicine.
We’re respectful. We’re self-reliant. We keep a clean space. We have an old VW camper called Albie, who we take for trips that are several months long. We are therefore very well organised, practical people, great at living in small spaces without taking over, and leave no trace.
We love to cook, we love to bake. We love the outdoors. We love pride festivals. We love hiking, diving, snowboarding, reading, watching, learning, swimming, eating, photography, history, art. We love pets, but don’t have any here in the UK.
We're music festival-goers, always have been. We love going to gigs and good nights out with friends. On the flip-side, we also really enjoy dinners in with friends and bingeing TV series!
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
Because meeting locals is surely the best way to discover a city. We're interested in trying something new this summer, and thought this would be a great way to meet locals rather than keeping to ourselves in our van.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
Our music styles vary significantly depending on mood and setting! A little bit of EDM, a little bit of alt-pop, a little bit of blues, a little bit of hip-hop, a little bit of techno.
Drew is all about non-fiction. Very much a facts, science, history, politics person. Dom is a bit more creative in her reading choices.
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
Bought an old VW Campervan and spent several months at a time on the road, covering a lot of Europe.
Another cool thing we've done was going for an approximately 30km overnight hike in the Australian bush (wilderness) with no trail; just a topographic map, compass and a tent. A place called Pantoneys Crown, do a quick google search to see the kind of landscape we're talking about. It's beautiful!
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
Drew can teach you how to tie knots, how to snow/skate/wakeboard, how to spell long words (only in English unfortunately), and how to hold your breath for a really long time.
Dom can teach you how to bake awesome cupcakes, how to reverse-tomahawk a hockey ball into the top-corner, how to get a cat to love you, and how to sleep instantly in any moving vehicle.
Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes
A love of life over a cup of tea, espresso, beer, wine. We're outdoor types, we love van-life. We're experienced hikers and scuba divers and love talking about things like that. We're reasonably well travelled, and are always looking to delve as deep as we can into cultures.
We're practical people, we're good at fixing things. We love the idea of sleeping on someone's couch and in return helping them fix a few things in their home.
We haven't hosted anyone yet because we've only been introduced to couch surfing recently and we don't have a permanent home at the moment!
