About Me

When I first meet a person I'm genuinely soft-spoken but as we continue talking I become more relaxed and could talk for hours. I love getting to know people wholeheartedly and do not settle for superficial questions. I believe it's important to hear people out and listen to what they have to say in order to gain a different perspective. I enjoy learning from others.

To say that I'm a fan of animation would be an understatement. My passion for film and television is rooted in the belief that they are more than mere entertainment; rather, I see the mediums as vehicles for introducing new ideas and as a language that unites people. I aspire to work for an animation studio that broadcasts children's cartoons.

I am a bit of a wanderer and enjoy walking around to get a feel of the local culture. I love taking a step back to appreciate what the world has to offer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's only recently that I've had the opportunity to travel and gained a desire to see the world, but I've always loved meeting new people. I hope to hear about people's experiences abroad and have good dialogue.

Interests

I'm always down to grab coffee (I don't drink it so I'll be getting baked goods) or dessert at a cafe and just sit and chat. I guess depending where we are I'm always up for bubble tea too!

Exploring new places is always fun!

If I'm really in the zone, I write short stories. Original ideas are always running through my head and I feel the need to quickly write a short synopsis so I don't forget.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
Honestly, any song that gets my mind thinking of new stories to write. Typically I listen to Japanese Pop, but since I've moved back to the United States I've been introduced to mainstream pop music. Artists I like are OH Wonder, Us the Duo, and Andy Grammer at the moment.

Movies: Any film by Walt Disney Animation Studios, DreamWorks Animation, Illumination Entertainment. Also, I love a good laugh so I enjoy watching Parks and Recreation, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Master of None. However, my all time favorite tv series is Steven Universe (an American animated television series created by Rebecca Sugar for Cartoon Network). If you haven't seen it, check it out no matter what age you are!! =D

Books:
Dystopian fiction, Young Adult and fairytales are probably the most that I read. Although I do recommend the Fifth Wave trilogy by Rick Yancey. It's a solid science fiction series.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I swam with dolphins off Mikura Island.
