About Me
ABOUT ME
I am a fit, educated guy who is always trying to learn more about what I see and the people I meet. I see travelling as *the* unique and irreplaceable opportunity to develop an ever more full understanding of this world and the people who live in it.
As for my personal life, I am passionate about the few hobbies that I practice and whatever readings and knowledge I come across: I am always open to sharing what I know about any subject.
I am a cheerful and agreeable person who views life as an adventure and will never refuse a challenge!
PHILOSOPHY
"Thou Shalt do What Thou Wilt" is the motto I've adopted and personally strive to make truer every passing day. It is a documented philosophical standpoint for me, one that I found in books (parent to the "Vitalist" philosophical current) and that everything in life now tends to confirm to me. It is the compass of my existence and whenever I end up getting lost and without external guidance, I can refer to it and find my way back to a meaningful life in no time.
Interests
I like physical disciplines and conditioning activities of all kinds: I believe I found in parkour/freerunning the ideal opportunity for blending a tremendous all-body workout with a perpetual mental challenge that allows me to face my fears day after day of testing my limitations.
Hiking, reading and listening to music are some other of my interest that I'm willing to share with other couchsurfers. Enjoying a drink around a table with friends is also always an option with me!

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: French literature and some Germans: Nietzsche, Schopenhauer, Hermann Hesse. Russians fascinate me. And I've read everything about Aleister Crowley (although I still can't say I know him. Who really does?)
Music: Mark Lanegan Band, Metric, Metallica, The Glitch Mob, Cat Power, Tool, Rage Against the Machine, Florence and the Machine, Grimes, Imogen Heap and many, many more of all kinds...
Movies: anything, but mainly Sci-Fi, Drama and Action
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela or "El peregrino de Santiago", the crossing of Northern Spain by foot, stands out as an highlight in both my personal achievements and travelling experience. It is my conviction that anybody in good health, whatever their age or physical condition, can complete this 800 km walk if they only dare to believe in themselves.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have past experience as a French teacher's assistant. I can help you learn some words, expressions and make conversation with you if you're interested in learning some French.
