Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm back home at the moment and missing travelling and all the weird and wonderful people that I meet. I suddenly realised that CS could be a great way to still experience that fun and variety in life while at home... until I get out of here again! ;) Unfortunately I can't offer a couch right now (hopefully that will soon change) but I'd love to meet some new people who are either travelling through Sydney or based here longer-term. For language practise, group meets or just a friendly chat. Lord knows I know how daunting it can be arriving in a city where you don't know anybody, so I'd be very happy to be able to offer a friendly welcome!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Together with a good friend of mine we stayed with 2 different people - one in Vermont and one in Montreal. I must admit that I was a little apprehensive at first about couchsurfing having had no experience of it nor knowing much about it... but I have now completely changed my mind! Both our hosts were so lovely and incredibly generous to us and we enjoyed some great nights out together. Next time I travel I will definitely couchsurf and hope to be able to return the favour one of these days.
