About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live in harmony with myself, others and nature

ABOUT ME

Interested in relationships, ecology and spirituality, I decided in 2007 to spend a whole year to experience the life at the Findhorn Foundation, a spiritual Community as well as a very famous eco-village in the North of Scotland. I have enjoyed it so much than I spent an other 6 years there from 2012 till 2018... and I keep going there every year to focalise some French programmes! I'm still travelling a lot and, when I am in Belgium, I live next to a Nature Reserve with very nice neighbours. I like gardening and I'm pretty much involved in some Transition Town Initiatives.

PHILOSOPHY

Humanist, close to the Bouddhist philosophy and very much interested in Joanna Macy's Deep Ecology.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have been travelling mostly by friend's the last few years. Otherwise, too often some people have asked for a Couch at the last minute and it was then not possible for me to welcome them. I was very happy to host my first CouchSurfer à long time ago and, having taken the lesson and planned earlier, I really enjoyed the two different CouchSurfing experiences I had in Edinburgh and the one in London with Ruth who intoduced me to SERVAS I mostly used to travel over the last 10 year or so.

Interests

I like living as lightly as possible on our beautiful planet, sharing my passion for personal developement games - as the Game of Transformation - and for the Transition Town initiatives. I also love meeting people as well as reading, watching a good movie or being on my own in nature.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a fan of Harry Potter as well as of Marshall Rosenberg (Non Violent Communication). Most of the time, I prefer to read biographies as "Eat, pray love", inspiring books but I can also enjoy a good Mystery book or a good novel.
I like beautiful voices and musics rooted in some kind of tradition as Loreena Mc Kennith, I Muvrini, Madredeus... But also Classic and New Age Music.
I truly love movies! I can enjoy Children's movies like 'Hook, "Polyanna" or "The Secret Garden" as much as "Star Wars", "Singing in the rain", "Invictus", "The Help" or "Himmalaya". I like when they make me feel vibrant, inspired and happy to be human.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cycling through Sukhothai (Thaïland) at sunrise, the magical colorful sunset on the Himalaya when landing in Kathmandu, meeting the gorillas in Rwanda, living within the Findhorn Foundation and community... and so many other things I'm so grateful for!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you quickly and easily "The five Tibetan", a complete set of five simple yoga exercises and I enjoy to share anything you'd like about cooperative and personal development games, or meditation.
I would like to learn more about Permaculture and to play the Celtic Harp.
