About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I really like the 'moral' imperative of Couch Surfing: Building new responsible relationships across geography; sharing the hospitality that we all enjoy; making the world go 'round.
ABOUT ME
I'm a farmer, an educator, a liberal, a cook. I like thinking about how the world works and how we fit in. I admire those that conserve resources and appreciate the generosity of others. I enjoy sharing my home, my knowledge, my freedom, my food with people who share the values of respect, and gratitude.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have a farm house in the country. So you need to be very creative and/or flexible or have a car to get here. But it's a great place. I host young farm apprentices for a year and seasonal interns for two -three months in summer, so there is always a bit of activity here and plenty of young energy. In colder months or bad weather there is literally a couch, possibly a bed for a guest (you). In the warmer months there is the option of tenting out on my beautiful farm. We generally eat family style, sharing prep, eating together and tidying up. People who want can participate in the farm 'experience' by helping out with 'chores'.
