Overview
About Me
I'm a mix of Scottish and Irish with a mix of adopted other countries. I run a healthcare business, and I'm also part of a healthcare tech start-up. At university I studied history and during those years I worked with a number of different social organisations - and I have kept up some volunteering throughout my life. All of my best experiences have been related to this work.
I travel often. I enjoy it best of all when travelling by foot, and I tend to stick to Europe.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was hosted and helped a lot in my 20s. Now I'm in my 30s, and I've got some freedom in my life - so I feel like giving back.
I have previously hosted surfers in Romania and Scotland. Now I live in central London and I'm happy to host people if the spare bedroom is empty, and I'm not away travelling for work. Last minute requests work better for me than long-range planned visits !
Interests
I work hard - but when I have a healthy balance in my life - I love to read. I like theatre.
- traveling
- history
- psychology
- countryside
- theatre
Music, Movies, and Books
I don't listen to music every day, but I have a broad range of likes. I don't have a lot of patience for TV and films - so I like to watch only the best! For reading - I enjoy psychology, history, philosophy, biographical and travel books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travelled alone by foot through France for 350 miles when I was 21.
