I'm an Electrical Engineering student from the US living in Austria and working on my PhD at TU Wien!

I'm pretty shy sometimes, but it doesn't take long for me to warm up to new people or groups.

Ever since I spent a semester in France in 2008, I have been addicted to travel. I want to explore the whole world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

During my travels in Europe I had an introduction to CourchSurfing. I surfed with 2 amazing hosts, one in Bordeaux, and one in Zagreb. The experience was very positive both times.

Saving money on accommodations is not even a big part of what makes it special. It's the insider/local perspective you get, and the friends you make. For a shy person like me, it forces interaction and connection-making.

Music, Movies, and Books

I want to see almost every movie that comes out but I hardly ever do.

My favorite music artist is Ben Folds. I have music spanning all genres and I don't really know how to categorize my taste.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hiked across the chalk cliffs in southeast England and I drove over 1,000 miles through the Scottish Highlands. Both equally amazing.

In the summer of 2010 I earned a pilot's license! That means I can fly small airplanes around for fun. Speeding down the runway and lifting off into the air is an experience that will never lose its magic for me.
