About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To expant my skills at bridging cultural gaps and expand my knowledge of various cultures, traditions, and religions. Promoting multiculturalism :)

ABOUT ME

My inquisitive nature is what motivates me to learn about different cultures. I really enjoy talking to people around the world about their cultural practices and backgrounds.

I feel Indiana Jones was a hero to me as a kid. This dude was super cool, had all the ladies, was a professor, and he sported an awesome fedora. Dr. Jones could go anywhere in the world and he always knew the languages, history and traditions of the people in that part of the world. As a kid, I feel this motivated me to learn about the idea of multiculturalism. And it drives me today in most anything I do.

PHILOSOPHY

When I'm hosting, I draw inspiration from The Great Gatsby....")

Multiculturalism has spread so much over the last 10 years. With communications becoming more easily accessible and traveling has become more economic, we find ourselves in a world with much cultural diversity and various religious beliefs.

And I welcome it! :)

I enjoy learning about various cultures and history of the people I meet . I l feel I learn so much more by interacting with people who have different customs.

Bridging cultural gaps is an important part of growing as a person. The CS community is a great place to help with this idea.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host travelers when I can and I try to accommodate my guests.

2014: I am now planning some surfing for the first time very soon. Summer 2014 yeah!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed all over Mexico and parts of South America after I graduated with my BA. I only wished I had known about CS back then, but I still had a great time meeting people and staying with friendly host families I came across (especially Chiapas, MX and Ibague, Colombia)
It bring a smile to my face when I remember how accommodating and friendly these people were in my travels.

Interests

Salsa dancing, hiking, swimming, Hookah, motorcycle riding, comedy clubs and of course, traveling!

A good foreign film!
And a hilarious Comedy!

I enjoy a little Muy Thai for the exercise but I'm not an expert! (No kicking trees!)
