About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To get lost without losing my mind
ABOUT ME
Type A grammarian with a love for homonyms, puns, and kittens (not in that order); fearful and reluctant traveler; lover of dancing (or, rather, awkwardly jerking off beat with the music), food, and boisterous laughter
PHILOSOPHY
Don't forget to stretch ... your hamstring, your back, your last dollar, your heart, your mind, sometimes (SOMETIMES!) the truth, and always (ALWAYS!) your imagination

Encouraged to join because of a month-long trip to Europe
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been hosted twice and am now inspired to host travelers when I return home. I suppose that now means I need to move to a location that may actually interest surfers.

Music, Movies, and Books
I was an literature major, so, naturally, I hate reading. Really. I don't know if it's the excessive reading in college. Perhaps I would have been a Linguistics major. Having said that, of late, I've been enjoying Diana Wynne Jones. Accordingly, I just watched Howl's Moving Castle.
I list to underground, West Coast (California, USA) hip hop mostly. But lately, I'm more likely to be replaying episodes of "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me ..." on my iPod.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ask me when we meet.
Teach, Learn, Share
In regards to making a fool of oneself in public, I ask: Who cares? When are you ever going to see this people again? If the answer is, "I care" and "Well, no, I suppose I won't," then my advice is to go ahead and be a fool.
