Overview
About Me
I am very outgoing, love people, and meeting new people. I live about 2 miles from the Sea of Cortez (east) and the mountains (west) . I love the adventure of new things. I have two dogs (Yorkie and Carin Terriers) and a rescue Baja cat. If you want to stay with me, gotta like animals. I have a 2 bedroom, 2 bath home on ElDorado Ranch (gated community) with many amenities (swimming pools, tennis courts, pickle ball courts, cards and activities daily and many fundraising events for the San Felipe community). My neighbor is also a surfer couch hostess. I am 73, but do not act it and hope I never do. I love gardening and have a lovely garden in the front of my home which I spend a great deal of time in. I have bougainvillea, cactus, local trees, etc. I am retired, have lived here 4 years and have many friends and even family who live here.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am not currently looking to travel due to traveling and moving so much in my earlier life, however, I would be interested in hosting to meet new and different people, teach them about San Felipe and some of the Mexican customs, and of course learn myself.
Interests
I love going to the beach, sculpting, creating other craft projects and have friends who do the same. I love shopping in the San Felipe community - quaint and very small, great restaurants, swimming, attending events such as the Blues and Arts Festival, Shrimp Festival, and I belong to a desert 4 wheel club called "Scorpions". They take desert trips, provide support for the many fund raisers for the community here and have fun gatherings and support both the American and local community. I also support the local VIVA club which sponsors and rescues animals who are neglected and in need of assistance.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like most kinds of music, but Country is my favorite, however, Blues is also great. I like educational and spiritual (not religious) books, but can allow others their own beliefs and choices. I am also becoming more and more a fan of the Mexican music here.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing I have done is lived or visited 41 of the United States, lived in Germany for 2 years, Mexico for 4 years, and traveled to Canada, Austria, and Hawaii. I also moved to San Felipe on my own to retire after a visit here and falling in love with it.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach others about the Mexican Culture here, I can show and direct you to beaches, mountains, quartz, onyx mines, and hopefully learn from your culture and experiences.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I do not plan to travel at this time.
