About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ad astra per aspera

ABOUT ME

I'm a student at Wichita State Uni. My next round of classes will include International Studies and Entrepreneurial courses.

My summer job is Pyro-technician. I setup fireworks displays for just about any reason. The biggest display I work on is the July 17th Amelia Earhart Festival in Atchison,KS. If you're in and around Wichita for the summer, see some awesome fireworks at Bradley Fair on July 1st or come downtown to Lawrence DuMont Stadium on July 4th or both!

PHILOSOPHY

Golden rule. Pay it forward.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to the couch surfing web-community, I just joined June 5th. I have surfed with non-members locally and abroad and I heard about this through a friend who hosts and surfs. As someone who loves to travel, I feel that being a member and supporting this community is important for making for a rich travel experience and helping out the fellow travelers of the world!

Also, I'm waiting for verification postcard in the mail.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met an awesome foreign-exchange student in high school and the year after we graduated, I went to surf in her home country of Poland. Couch surfing is a great choice when traveling abroad and the cultural lessons you learn are worth more than just 'going' and 'seeing' type vacations when people isolate themselves from local life by staying in resorts or hotels.

Interests

Reading about current events, cutting edge science and technology including: engineering, bio-medical, aerospace, psychology. Likes classic novels, foreign language studies, poker, viola da gamba.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to watch foreign films with subtitles. Even if the movie is barely half-way decent, it's still a treat to my ears. Conversely, I watch American films with foreign audio and english subtitles. Movies and novels with Victorian English are a plus. I listen to classic rock, oldies, classical music. I also listen to the music for Viola da Gamba or in the category of "early music" including: Jenkins, Ward, Dowland, Marin Marais, Couperin, Lully, St. Colombe. These are mostly English and French composers of the 16th and 17th centuries.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen some incredibly awesome tornado action on the Kansas plains. The forces of nature are truly incredible and a sight to behold.

Teach, Learn, Share

Music, foreign language..I wouldn't say I'm an expert at anything. I'm good at my job, which involves setting up fireworks displays and some choreography and timing.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Denmark, Germany, Poland, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In
