About Me

I'm usually up for an adventure any day of the week. I love being out in nature (or the concrete jungle) and experiencing whatever the world has to offer at any given moment. I think some of the best moments in life are those unplanned and unexpected experiences with friends and when meeting new people.

I am an entrepreneur, so I have my own coaching and training business. I help people understand their personalities using frameworks such as the Enneagram and Neuro Linguistic Programming. I am also the Executive Director for a Not For Profit called Enneagram Prison Project.

I'm pretty keen on self development, hence my career choices in helping others in their own growth. I have a pretty strong focus on trying to maintain presence in my life, and doing the 'important' things in life. I'm really easy going, and feel most at peace when going with the flow of things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have used other apps for meeting new people and trying new things, such as meetup. I am on couchsurfing because I was doing research about meeting and staying with "locals" while travelling and I found this website! I am really hoping to have fun and new experiences meeting new people and maybe even staying with some locals as I travel through Europe this year. Fingers crossed!

I've only just joined, and unfortunately I'm not in a position to host right now (even though I'd love to one day) so I'm going to try and become part of the community and help others out in Brisbane by hanging out and showing other travellers around.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Almost anything and everything is on my playlist. I do have some favourite artists in each genres, but my tastes are quite broad. If it's got a decent beat or a rythym, chances are I can appreciate it.

Books: Yep, love reading. Tend to go through phases of immersing myself in books and then not reading for months. I like fiction and non fiction, although tend to get more excited about non fiction if there's a chance I'm going to learn something new.

Movies: Yup, like these too. Will watch anything with a good storyline. Probably get a little more excited for movies about time travel or science fiction. (Apparently I'm a little nerdish)

I would welcome conversations about Music, Movies, Books, Art, Philosophy with any couchsurfers I meet! :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Can I really only talk about ONE amazing thing??

I guess I would have to choose my 4 Days backpacking through the rocky mountains in Canada. I did the Skokie circuit route, it was a little hard work, and breathtaking. I would do it again (or something like it) in a heartbeat!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Well, my life's work is in facilitating others in their personal development. So I have skills as a coach and trainer. If it's greater self awareness and higher emotional intelligence or understanding yours and others personalities that you're after, then I am able to help teach and share my experience in this area. (If you'd rather not talk about these kind of things then I'm not going to push that on you either)

Learn: I love learning in general. So if you can teach me something, then I would be forever grateful! I particularly like learning languages, new recipes, musical instruments.. you know what, anything - teach me anything!

Share: Not sure how this differs from Teaching and Learning? I mean, I'll share food with you, and share my hair straightener if you need it. Sharing is caring right? ;) (I draw the line at sharing my toothbrush though, sorry folks).

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well, what I can share really depends on what it is you're looking for and how much time we have together! Here's some potential benefits of you hosting me.

- I can bake some really tasty cookies, cheesecakes, cakes. *drool*
- I love cooking healthy meals too. I'm a big fan of Buddah Bowls, Stir Frys and Soups.
- I am a qualified personal development coach, so I would be happy to offer you a free coaching session to find out what it is that you really really want in life, or if you know that already, I can facilitate you towards achieving that!
- I am a great listener and also enjoy sharing my own stories if that's what you prefer.
