About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To make a difference in the lives of others
ABOUT ME
I have been living in Luang Prabang, Laos PDR for the past year, after falling in love with the place on holiday. I packed up my house, dog, job and everything else and moved back there within 6 weeks of arriving at home. I had an amazing experience there, and made some difference to lots of people, but now it is lovely to be home.
PHILOSOPHY
My personal philosophy is just to experience life and accept what comes my way - easier said than done though I know!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I used CouchSurfing to meet people in other countries when I was travelling and now I want to give back to other travellers.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have met other couch surfers whilst traveling Vietnam, in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and Haiphong. I have really enjoyed the experience. I also met with other couch surfers in Phnom Penh and Chiang Mai. I have not yet stayed overnight with someone, but I love the opportunity to meet someone who is living in a city I am visiting.
I have recently started hosting travellers in my little house.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Living in Laos PDR for 12 months and experiencing life closely connected to a family there. Being a teacher in Laos for a school year.
I saw 16 whales swimming and breaching in the bay whilst out on a whale watching tour near Albany. The guide said it was the most whales he had seen in one place ever.
Being up close to elephants. Watching a baby elephant suckle from it's mother.
Looking into the eyes of elephants and whales is amazing!
