ABOUT ME

I've lived in Austin since 1980 except for two years in Syracuse NY and two years in Dublin Ireland. I'm delighted to have creative opportunities working for Sierra Club as a media specialist. I have an organic veggie garden in the middle of the City, two cats, a long-term housemate and a coupla freegans leaving end of July who introduced me to this couchsurfing community. I've traveled the world and have been mostly still stince around 1996 when my Irish husband and I divorced and I decided to sink my roots further in Texas. My family has a simple vacation house in the Frio Canyon and I mostly have been going there for holidays. Now I'm ready to fufill a dream since I did my 7th grade junior high report on Seattle's space needle and I'm going to enjoy the wonders (more the abundant, natural beauty spots) of the Pacific NW from August 2-18. PHILOSOPHY

Influenced by JPSatre and Simone de Beauvoir's committed existentialism, Emma Goldman's courageous anarchism, love that Spanish Mondragon experiment and want to connect with cooperative eco-communities raising their own food and creating their own energy systems in the US while staying connected to the rest of society in a healthy engaged way oh yeah.
