About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Figure out how to make enough money to go see the rest of the world. And to someday finish writing the book I am working on
ABOUT ME
Born with a healthy dose of 'wanderlust', I have travelled half the globe, and want to try to see the other half before I kick the bucket. Love the sun, so moved to a wee beautiful little island in the Caribbean 8 years ago, where I own my own home, which I turning into a guesthouse. I also occupy my time by running a hiking business - when not relaxing on the beach sipping on a rum & coke! I have put the guest house up for sale, and will be moving on the see the other half of the world when I find someone who wants to opt out of the rat race and buy and run a small guest house (and possibly a hiking business) here in Bequia.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is to be lived and enjoyed
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Joined up recently, so finding my way. Can probably offer couch (or bed) during tourist off season (June-September) if I am around. From October-May, I would be happy to meet up for a drink or coffee.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Have experienced great generosity, kindness and compassion from complete strangers on my travels, which I have tried to return to other 'strangers' who have passed my way (long before I ever heard of CS). Biggest number of people I have hosted on one night - 17 one memorable New Years Eve!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Slept in an active volcano crator, got 'lost' in a rainforest, seen star filled nights while sleeping out in a desert (and sailing), hitch hiked across a continent, offered food by beggars, shook hands with Presidents, stayed on a mountain top to watch a blue moon and see the sun rise on a new decade, was a Pirate in the Caribbean, kept snakes in Africa, learned to fly, have had my heart broken more than once (and probably broke a few hearts along the way), slid part way down a glacier, survived earthquakes and hurricanes, snorklled with turtles and barracuda, supported others to fulfill their dreams, and along the way seen a few of my own dreams fulfilled.
