ABOUT ME
My husband and I just returned from around the world trip for two years. We are Americans in our 40's. We saved for twelve years for this trip and are very excited to try out couch surfing and meet new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have done it a few times but not since Croatia in Oct 2013. We have spent the last eight months in India and Nepal where couchsurfing isn't as popular.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Since 1992, I have been to over 90 countries as a backpacker. My husband has been to over 70. Can't even begin to count how many hostel dorm rooms we have stayed in.

Teach, Learn, Share

We have some really cool travel stories, including my stay in a Malawian hospital with malaria, year in Africa, and driving around the US by myself.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you need parking, we are not the hosts for you. Parking in our neighborhood is an absolute nightmare. We have a one bedroom apartment in downtown Portland. We have a couch and a recliner in the living room that you are welcome to. Our apartment complex is very strange about guest being in the building when we are not so you have to leave while we are at work. Generally 7:30 to 4:00 weekdays. We are pretty laid back. Portland has a no smoking in building laws so you have to smoke whatever you are smoking outside.
