PHILOSOPHY
Try everything once; if you don't like it, consider the possibility that it's an 'acquired taste' and try it again... Unless it's coriander - if you don't like it the first time, you'll never like it - and then we can't be friends ;)
If it doesn't kill you, you should be able to laugh about it afterwards!
I love animals, so as far as possible I don't eat them or their by products.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love the couchsurfing concept! I Hope to do some more surfing as soon as I have money to travel again! At the moment I'll have to settle for having the rest of the world on my couch when I'm able to.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I love it! Surfed once in Namibia, hosted surfers, and showed a few surfers around Cape Town; all experiences have been awesome, and I'm looking forward to a whole lot more!
Interests
The outdoors, running and cycling (slowly), hiking, swimming, yoga... I'll try most sports at least once,
travel, meeting people. I like to party occasionally, and and I love a little adrenaline; love the outdoors, and try do my bit for the environment and for animal rights. Passionate about plant-based food. I also enjoy a good conversation, reading and the occasional game of chess.
***If you'd like to request a couple of nights on my couch please use the phrase "OH YES! OH YES!" in you request; it'll show me you've read my profile, and it'll put me a good mood while I'm deciding whether or not to host you!***

Music, Movies, and Books
I like movies, when there's nothing better to do!
Not too fussy with music; if I can dance to it, chill to it, or sing along then I probably like it.
I enjoying reading, but don't often get around to it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Wildebeest migration in the Serengeti was indescribable!
Victoria Falls were absolutely breath-taking!
Kendwa Beach and swimming with dolphins in Zanzibar was awesome.
Snowboarding. Amazing!
1,000km off-road from Ceres to Kimberly in South Africa
Finished a full Ironman, and the Comrades Marathon (89km) a month apart!
Teach, Learn, Share
I've love to meet anyone who knows that everyone has something to teach, and a lot to learn, about life.
I am always excited to talk about the benefits of a plant-based diet; health, environment, ethics, justice, taste! I can also never run out of things to say or learn about psychology, physiology, science, history...
I can teach to how to juggle :)
