I grew up in San Salvador, surrounded by mountains, lakes, volcanoes and beautiful beaches. I enjoy swimming, biking, hiking, camping and several other outdoor activities.

I graduated a few years ago with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and I am currently attending grad school in Rapid City, SD, next to the Black Hills. Among the goals in my life is to travel to as many places in the world as I can and learn a few additional languages: French, Italian and Portuguese are on my list at the moment. I am fluent in Spanish (native) and English and I also speak a little bit of French.

I can be a little bit shy at the beginning but nonetheless I am very friendly. Unfortunately due to my current job and grad studies, I haven't been able to spend as much time as I wish exploring the Black Hills but I hope to change that in the near term.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I got introduced to Couchsurfing a year or so ago by several friends upon moving to Rapid City and although I haven't had the chance to host any guests yet, due to several reasons, it seems to me like a great opportunity to make new friends and connect with like-minded individuals.

Interests

As I mentioned above, I enjoy hiking, swimming, sightseeing, traveling, learning new languages, visiting art galleries and meeting new people.
