About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To expand my own understanding of the meaning of life. Learning new languages, new skills and gaining more knowledge.
ABOUT ME
If we asked your best friends about you, what kinds of things would they say?
Uhhmm... haha, well I guess they would say I'm someone that's easy to get along with? I like debating, I'm constantly looking for new things to try out. I'm an inquisitive person and above nearly all else... I love to laugh ^^, nothing makes life more fulfilling than laughter (: There's a lot I think my friends would say about me (like he never shuts up sometimes) but I'd like to think they love me :D
PHILOSOPHY
Nobody is born destined to be a certain kind of person; the choices we make ultimately determine who we become.
And if there is a god who knows everything, then that means there must be an answer to everything. Its our job as a curious race to strive to find those answers, and not merely wait for god to spoon feed us and put the brains we were blessed with to waste. Those who want and deserve heaven on earth have to work for it, just like everything else we want in life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I'm in love with the idea of travelling the world and having a way to meet new people without looking like a weirdo by approaching them on the street... yeah I can be shy but if there's a mutual reason to talk then I'm 100 times more extrovert!
Currently travelling the world so unfortunately I can't host!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have been hosted in Japan! in four different cities (Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Yokohama)
I also use hangouts extensively in almost all the places I travel to (when I'm feeling social because let's face it, some alone time is also great!)
Interests
What are the things that really grab your attention and make your life engaging? How do you spend your time?
I love music! Music is like my soul mate at the moment, it controls my mood, my concentration, my perception, everything! I don't think a day goes by without me listening to at least one song. I don't have a particular preference when it comes to genres, it varies from heavy metal to country music, RnB to Japanese to pop and rock, indie to classical ^^, though I do go through phases where I listen to one genre more than the others haha, it'd be too confusing listen to all of them at once (constantly at least).
I love science! I believe science is the key to everything human, though that doesn't mean I think we have all the answers, I just think we haven't found them yet ;] I could go on again but this is an introduction so I'll leave it at that haha
I am interested in global sustainability and how we as a human race are going to get ourselves out of this 2000 odd year mess that we've gotten ourselves into, I feel the way things are now are unacceptable and that a lot can be done but only a little needs to be done.
I love learning languages, travelling, meeting new people, reading novels and graphical novels, debating in general, trying new things andddd learning as much as I can about the world we live in, while trying to understand it in my own way and not the way I'm told.
I guess the rest anyone reading this will find out when I speak with them ^^,

Music, Movies, and Books
Too many to mention so I'll just categorize haha
Manga (shounen, shoujo, shinpi etc.) Manhwa, Fantasy novels, more or less all kinds of music (its the song not the genre that decides whether or not I like it), Documentaries, Action, thrillers, horror, romance, psychological, historical, comedy, sci-fi, martial arts, cultural - the list goes on and on (:
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Pick two or three moments that left you awestruck. What were they?
Haha hmmm, well I've had a lot of those moments so I'll pick the first three that come to mind!
When I was climbing mount Kilimanjaro (2011), the sheer beauty and magnitude of the scenes I saw were just breathtaking, I was constantly lost for words and just, shocked at how lucky I was to be here, climbing this mountain haha. It was amazing ^^.
Volunteering in the Philippines was another moment in my life I'd never forget, a lot happened there, not so much culture shock but more a first hand in-your-face take on what life could really be like for the people everyone always sees suffering on t.v. - again something that will be with me for life. But also on a good note I made a new family there ^^, and I hope to keep in contact with them forever!!
When I discovered something called the The Venus Project ^^, that really opened my eyes to what was wrong with the world at large, and what could be done to improve our current situation..
