About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Be constantly active. Never, ever be bored.
ABOUT ME
I like to live my life in a state of constant excitement and happiness.
I live by the statement "work hard, play hard." In terms of "work," I am just starting a job consulting for life-science companies. In terms of "play," I am up for anything, whether it be dancing all night or just sitting around having thoughtful conversations with awesome people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Surfed my way throughout Europe in 2012. Hosted and/or met great people in Boston. I just gave up my 1-bedroom to go back to a 3-roommate setting, so hosting won't be an option for the foreseeable future. But still down to meet & hang out if everything works out.
Interests
Some interests/hobbies:
-hiking: I grew up in Miami...give me some elevation!
-reading: mostly everything that contains a beautiful sentence or two
-creative writing: short stories and poetry
-running: especially with good podcasts or music in my ears
-drawing: random pencil sketches & Chinese watercolor landscapes
I also like: dark chocolate, floor plans, knowing which way is north, IPAs, caffeine, organization, gum, esoteric vocabulary, the French Revolution, exploring cities by foot

Music, Movies, and Books
All movies are fun except perhaps those that try too hard to be deep. I only watch movies with other people, whether it be sneaking beers into movie theaters for comedies or watching dramas on the couch with my boyfriend.
Musical preferences are situational. Hip-hop and house for dance. Alternative/Indie for mostly every other time. Some favorites: Stars, Of Montreal, The Killers, Explosions in the Sky.
Books are fantastic. I was one of those kids who sneaked flashlights and novels into bed so I could read all night under the covers. Some great authors: Michael Lewis, John Irving, Margaret Atwood, Nicole Krauss
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Reading beautiful prose. Lying in a hammock with my best friend in the Gili Islands. Jumping off a waterfall into ice-cold New Zealand waters.
Teach, Learn, Share
Basically I want to learn everything (does this make me greedy?)
What can I teach? Anything you may want to know that I may know something about! I know quite a bit about the brain and drug development and poetry, so we can start there :)!
