About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Hi, I love hosting guests. I live in a shared flat in Berlin.
I only take requests that are personalized. We have a sofa in the living room for you. Please not that I can ver often not host you - just very rarely. So please dont expect any last-minute-miracles happening! :-)

For me in life it is all about the good stories.
Couchsurfing helps me connect with wonderful storytellers and helps me broaden my perspective, hearing stories enlightens one another. Right?

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Bossa Nova (for example Claudia, Astrud Gilberto, Evinha, Joao Gilberto or Jorge Ben Jor), when I was young I grew up with Sting, the Police, the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. I then discovered the Stone Roses, La femme, Elliott Smith, Sufjan Stevens, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, The Smiths..

I love some good arthouse movies, recently El Topo by Jodorowsky or Cleo from Agnes Varda. I also like the nouvelle vague films from Rohmer, Truffaut and Godard, but I also enjoy old classics from Lubitsch or (the less sexist ones) from Billy Wilder. My favorite film is Amelie, but I of course also enjoy the films from Linklater, Jim Jarmush, Wes Anderson, Fellini, Iñárritu, Tarantino or Wong Kar-Wai. Or I just check whats on on mubi.com or arte.tv.

Literature? For example I like...Ingeborg Bachmann, Hertha Müller, Hermann Hesse, John von Düffel, Wolfgang Herrndorf, Charlotte Bronte, Marguerite Duras, Patrick Modiano, Patti Smith... and Goethe.

Teach, Learn, Share

I cant play chess, but maybe it's about time to learn it. Currently trying to improve my french. I have an open ear for all your stories and book and film recommendations. :-)

What I Can Share with Hosts

vegetarian cooking (including me making the best noodle salad in the world)
folding my tongue into three little parts
writing with both hands
explain to you some philosophers great ideas
