ABOUT ME

I've been living in Taiwan sine June 2012. I get by teaching English which is (for the most part) enjoyable and something i'm very much learning as I go.
Being an ex-pat in Taiwan gives you the luxury of time that is hard to find back home so I try to make the most by being as creative and adventurous as possible when i'm not working. I'm a singer-songwriter/guitarist and have been performing across this Island since I arrived, i'm currently in a group with some other guys from around the world and we're working on an album. Taipei has a small but growing music scene that is worth experiencing while you're here.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I used to host when I still lived back in the U.K and you can see some comments blow from past surfers. I really loved meeting new people and being able to show them around my old city so excited to have the opportunity to do this again!

Interests

I am a very creative person and love the art, in particular music.
I also love exploring the outdoors and try to get out hiking or river-tracing whenever I can.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: I've read so many good books in my life I wouldn't know where to start. I'm currently reading "The book thief". my last read was "A thousand splendid suns"

Movies: Don't always have the time to watch a movie but our part time housemate (based in Shanghai) left us a killer collection.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seen great white sharks of the coast of Adelaide, Australia,
Deep sea dived in the Great barrier reef.
Danced all night at forest festival in the mountains.
Scooter trip across Taiwan.

Teach, Learn, Share

Our flat has many instruments that you're welcome to have a play with while you stay with us.
We can teach you a little Mandarin to help you get around the Island.
