Martha Woollard and I will be cycling a route of approximately 3,500 miles, touring through 12 countries this summer to raise funds for Cancer Research UK and The British Heart Foundation. There is fantastic work being done by both of these life-altering charities every day - both of whom have provided care and support to members of our respective families.

Starting in Portsmouth on May 19th and finishing in Porto towards the end of September, the two alliterative pearls of Europe's crown that mark the start and finish points of our tour will see us cycle 6000km.

Embarking on this journey in memoriam of our Fathers; Maurice Woollard and David French - two men with a passion for travel, a love of the outdoors and a keen sense of adventure, the trip will provide a tiresome yet fitting tribute to two big characters.

My partner and I will be looking for accommodation along the route we'll be cycle touring throughout the summer. It's a fantastic opportunity for us to meet new people, experience their culture, exchange stories about the cities we'll be visiting.
Embarking on a 4-month long charity bike tour, we're looking to keep our expenses to a minimum - couchsurfing provides a chance for us to accomplish both.
