I am Doreen, sometimes a little bit shy in the beginning but soon open and open-minded. I prefer listening more than talking. Sometimes I am full of thoughts and sometimes I am full of laughter. I prefer honest talks more than smalltalk and I like to be surrounded by people. I believe into economical degrowth, tolerance, fairness and a better world.

I am an Arabistik and Anthropology Student in my third, but not final year. I started studying to work with refugees later on. My studies aren't socio-pedagogical at all, but rather academical, still I like studying about Arabic language, history and politics and I am working with refugees in my free time.
I just came back from one year studying in Lebanon, learning dialectal arabic and to get in touch with the Arabic lifestyle or at least Lebanese lifestyle.
At the moment I don't have a fixed home, sometimes you can find me in Berlin, if not some where else in Europe and from October on in Leipzig, where I'd really like to start hosting.

Furthermore I am interested into reading, discussions about politics, cooking, meditation and Yoga, swimming, walking, hiking and cycling in the nature. I prefer bear and wine with long talks and laughter all night long more than clubbing, but I also love dancing. I like making plans and think about what (my) life could look like just to make other plans one day later.

I couchsurfed a lot -always with friends, always with their profiles. Now it's time for my own profile and for hosting by myself.
The last days I had such a nice couchsurfing experience, and decided to start my own profile today.
But, please notice: For the moment I can only except girls, as I'm leaving in a girls apartment.

On the other side I want to discover other places and like to stay at yours!

My favorite song for the moment is "Faith" by Sebastian Sturm and Exile Airline. Furthermore I like listening to Khruangbin, The Dø, Akua Naru, Björk, Fat Freddy's Drop and Oceanvs Orientalis to name a few.

"Humano" about and from Alen Stivelman and his transition of the Anden with a Shaman and more than 100 questions to answer.

"A little Life, a Novel" by Hanya Yanagihara and "A Tale of Love and Darkness" by Amos Oz are my very favorite books for the moment. I'm really into reading and thankful for every book hint about politic, history, psychology and philosophy.
