About Me

CURRENT MISSION

- Become semi-fluent in Spanish by the end of 2020... still have a lot to go :'D (please practice with me! )
- expand culinary skills with different cuisines (such as middle eastern and Asian cooking) -- I want to start a notebook where I collect recipes from the people I meet! I keep forgetting to do it!
- learn how to ferment things
- learn to properly swing dance! (and just dance more in general :) )
- add more yoga and mediation into my life

ABOUT ME

I love traveling, meeting people from all walks of life and learning about different cultural traditions and their cuisine!! I'm a huge foodie. I will try almost anything. It's one of my favorite parts of traveling to other countries :)
I'm always up for adventure and spontaneous trips that don't break the bank. I'm very easygoing and I try not to stress about things because it never gets anyone anywhere.
Trying not to take life too seriously.
Smile a lot
Laugh a lot
Drink a lot of coffee
Always learning

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it's an awesome way to travel on a low budget, meet incredible people, and learn about all of our beautiful cultural difference but realize that actually we are all the same deep down! It's also way more fun experiencing a city through a local's perspective :)

Interests

- hunting down delicious cheap food, music venues, and cafes is probably one of my favorite hobbies (if you check out my pins on google maps you might even think it's a problem haha)
- my second favorite hobby is people watching - metros are perfect for this!
- I love dancing to anything and everything (including the sound of sirens and washing machines beeps)
- Food is my one true love - eating it, cooking it, trying new things
- I love puzzles and untangling knots (so if you have a bunch of wires in an impossible knot, let me have a go at it! )
- love learning! :) -- recent curiosities: fermented foods, west coast swing dancing, relearning the piano
- sharing a bottle of red wine
- I enjoy having a good cry over good movies
- coffee and tea culture around the world fascinates me

Music, Movies, and Books

The range of my music taste is super broad! I love everything from funky jazz to house music :) Recently into acoustic latin vibes and soft experimental electronic (not even really sure how to describe)

Recent artists I've been vibing to: Richard Houghten, Camel Power Club, Natalia Lafourcade, Hermanos Gutierrez, Pupkulies and Rebecca, Polo y Pan

Other artists I like:
Alt - J, Milky Chance, Parov Stelar, FKJ, Masego, Tash Sultana, Disclosure, Too Many Zooz, Nicola Cruz, Oumou Sangare, Asaf Avidan, Elderbrook,

Honestly, I like all music that makes me feel something. Would love to hear some of your faves :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- I built a raft with a team of international Hungarians and sailed down the Tisza river for a week, cooking and sleeping on it under the stars.

- traveled from Bali all the way across Flores and back on a scooter over 1000 km

- took a holy dip in the Ganges River during Kumbh Mela

- negotiated my way into a Buddhist lantern festival in Indonesian at Borobudur Temple, Yogyakarta, Indonesia

Teach, Learn, Share

The original philosophy behind couch surfing is what will make the world a better place. Let's share ideas!

Take me to your favorite places to eat, drink, and see live music!
Show me your city's secrets! (I promise I won't tell anyone ;) )
Teach me a new game! (drinking game? card game? board game?)
Teach me a new word!
Can you cook? .. show me a recipe! (and I'll teach you one in return!)

Let's chat about life and laugh a lot!!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I could...
teach you some Hungarian!
cook you something!
share music that I enjoy
exchange quality conversations
teach you how to play 'durak' (one of my favorite card games)
